Edinburgh's Film Festival has a reputation for showcasing some of cinema's biggest box office hits of recent times and this year it looks set to follow the trend. We bring you a selection of scenes from some of this year's best features.

Ratcatcher (UK)

A Room for Romeo Brass (UK)

Shane Meadows latest film is a shrewdly observed story of boyhood friendship, starring Andrew Shim, Ben Marshall and Bob Hoskins.

Rushmore (USA)

Celebrated comedy actor Bill Murray stars in what is billed as one of the freshest, funniest American films in years, from director Wes Anderson.

Sugar Town (USA)

Spandeau Ballet musician and Eastenders villain Martin Kemp stars in this comedy drama about rock 'n' roll in LA, directed by Kurt Voss and Allison Anders.

Wonderland (UK)

Michael Winterbottom directs Gina McKee and Enzo Clienti in an ironic portrait of modern-day London.

Beautiful People (UK)

Charlotte Coleman stars in Jasmin Dizdar's manic comedy about the entwined lives of a motley crew of Brits and Bosnian refugees in London in 1993.
