Seoul World Cyber Games begin

Nearly two-hundred computer games enthusiasts from seventeen nations have gathered in the South Korean capital, Seoul, to take part in the World Cyber Game Challenge.

Four different games are being played in the competition ; Quake III, FIFA 2000, Age of Empires II and Starcraft.

The competitors have all been through tough national preliminaries held over the last few months.

Large cash prizes will be on offer as well as lucrative contracts for the winners.

South Korea has one of the world's largest computer games markets, with millions of subscribers to on-line communication service firms and the Internet.
