UN defends Afghan election action

The United Nations has defended itself over claims that it deliberately ignored fraud in Afghanistan's presidential election.

A US newspaper has published voter turnout data that showed electoral fraud and had been kept confidential by the UN's chief envoy in Kabul, Kai Eide.
