Diana's lost ear-ring 'found in car' say police
News image
The wreckage

An ear-ring worn by Diana, Princess of Wales, at the time of her fatal car crash in Paris is reported to have been found by police in the wreckage of the vehicle.

The ear-ring was originally believed to have been lost in the aftermath of the accident on August 31.

The Press Association is reporting police sources as saying the ear-ring has been discovered in the Mercedes' dashboard by scientific experts at a laboratory near Paris.

The Princess died alongside her companion, Dodi Fayed, and driver Henri Paul in the accident in a tunnel in central Paris.

The criminal investigation into the cause of the crash is continuing.
