Around 11,000 are expected at The Full Ponty festival in May |
Some of Wales' biggest bands are lining up for a two-day music event over the May bank holiday, billed as one of the largest indoor festivals in the UK. Rappers Goldie Lookin' Chain, as well as Feeder and Funeral For A Friend are booked for the Full Ponty, Pontypridd.
An 11,000 capacity tented area is to go up at the town's Ynysangharad Park for the event on May 27-28.
Last year, Tom Jones held an open-air concert in the park for 20,000 people, yards from where he grew up.
Organisers of the Full Ponty say the event will have a supporting fringe programme of world music artists, street entertainers and alternative comedians hosted by several venues across the town.

Feeder's Chepstow-born vocalist, Grant Nicholas said: "We're really pleased to have been asked to headline the first Pontypridd festival, it looks like being a fantastic weekend.
"We had a brilliant time playing Cardiff last December and can't wait to get back to Wales".
The event is being run by the events arm of the Pop Factory production house in Porth.
In May 2005, Tom Jones performed hits from throughout his 40-year career at the concert in the park to mark his 65th birthday.
