The magnificent three

Do forgive the blogging silence since last week. Someone sent me a press release about the Barnett formula and I've only just woken up.
Today, Plaid Cymru are launching their manifesto for the Welsh assembly election on 3 May.
I skipped the manifesto launch in Cardiff to listen to the party's parliamentary leader, Elfyn Llwyd, at a Westminster news conference.
He proudly explained how the party was putting forward seven flagship policies to change Wales - "7 4 '07".
I risked a minor eruption on the Elfynometer scale by asking him to list the seven. He got to three, including extra help for students and first-time buyers.
Then he got stuck. "There are another three or four," he explained, before asking an aide if she could help him out.
The Meirionnydd Nant Conwy MP explained to reporters: "I'm not part of the campaign team."
