The Shadow Chancellor has denied claims he tried to seek a �50,000 donation from Russia's richest man.
It is illegal for a political party to accept donations from overseas residents.
George Osborne admitted meeting the billionaire Oleg Deripaska on his yacht in Corfu, but said the Conservatives never sought, nor received, any money.
