| Thursday, 5 December, 2002, 18:49 GMT Inside Cherie's Bristol flats ![]() The flats are described as 'penthouses' The Prime Minister's wife, Cherie Blair, is under fire after admitting she bought two flats with the help of convicted fraudster Peter Foster.
Mrs Blair insists she has done nothing wrong and had not been aware of Mr Foster's past. The flats are situated in a new development in the Clifton area of Bristol. According to the developers, the Panoramic apartments have "sensational far reaching views across the docks, the city and towards the Mendip Hills".
They have secure parking with video entry phones, fitted kitchen with a "retro style" fridge freezer and wiring for surround sound systems in the bedrooms. According to estate agents Edward Ware Homes the apartments boast an "impeccable specification with light and spacious living accommodation combined with sleek contemporary interiors".
Mrs Blair said that during initial discussions, before Mr Foster's direct involvement, she secured a drop in the purchase price of the flats from �295,000 each to �269,000 each. |
