Heathrow third runway campaigners claim court victory

Campaigners against a third runway at Heathrow have claimed victory over the government at the High Court.

Lord Justice Carnwath ruled the public consultation about expansion was invalid, because it was based on out-of-date figures.

The government gave the go-ahead for the new runway in January last year but now there will be period of further consultation.
