Fallon race-fixing trial date set
Kieren Fallon
Fallon is a six times champion jockey
Kieren Fallon and two other jockeys are to go on trial next year over allegations of race-fixing.

The former champion jockey did not attend the Old Bailey hearing, which set a trial date of 24 September.

Mr Fallon, 41, jockeys Fergal Lynch, 28, and Darren Williams, 27, and Miles Rodgers, 37, Philip Sherkle, 38, and Shaun Lynch, 37, all deny the charges.

They are accused of plotting to defraud punters of internet firm Betfair by ensuring horses lost races.

The offences are alleged to have taken place between December 2002 and September 2004.

Former racing syndicate director Mr Rodgers is also accused of concealing proceeds of crime.
