Sherwood was left out of the Rovers side earlier in the season, with manager Roy Hodgson refusing to pick a player who was "unsettled" by the speculation linking him with Spurs. However, the predicted 5m transfer did not materialise and the appointment of George Graham as Tottenham's new manager seemed to make the move even less likely. But Sherwood insists he still wants to join the north London club after becoming increasingly disillusioned at Ewood Park. "I have told Blackburn I'm not happy and I haven't changed my mind," the midfielder said. "I have seen experienced internationals come and go from this club to better themselves in other teams. "There was a chance for me to do that and Blackburn stood in my way. They haven't come back with anything positive to make me happy. "I don't know if there is still a chance for me to go home to London but with George Graham going there it does look more positive for me to go there rather than stay here." |
