A warm welcome but Newcastle are lodging a complaint.

Newcastle United have formally objected to playing Stevenage Borough at the tiny Broadhall Way ground.

After talks with local police, the Vauxhall Conference side has been given permission to play Newcastle at home in the fourth round of the FA Cup instead of switching the tie to St James's Park.

The Stevenage chairman Victor Green says he's disappointed at Newcastle's attitude (Dur: 1'-54")
But Stevenage will only be able to increase the capacity to 8,000 seats, around 4,000 less than expected.

Club chairman Victor Green said Newcastle's Director of Football, Russell Cushing, was acting like a "big brother" and had told him he would be visiting the ground on Wednesday with his safety officer.

"It's implying that I as chairman of the football club and our authorities don't know what we are doing and I find that insulting to our integrity," he added.

Newcastle fans will be allocated 2,200 tickets for the game, on Sunday January 25.

Borough earned their place in the fourth round with a 2-1 win at First Division Swindon Town.
