Bristol's WBC super-middleweight champion Glenn Catley has been offered 150,000 to defend his title against Birmingham's Robert McCracken.

The offer has been made to the Catley camp by McCracken's promoter, Panos Eliades.

It is the kind of money that no-one can afford to turn down and I am hoping Catley will say 'yes'.

Robert McCracken
McCracken is ready to move up a division to meet Catley, having failed in a bid to win the WBC middleweight title in April when he was stopped in 11 rounds at Wembley by champion Keith Holmes.

"They have offered Catley 150,000 - which is very good money these days," McCracken said.

"He is not going to get that sort of money off anyone else.

"It is the kind of money that no-one can afford to turn down and I am hoping that he will say 'yes'.

"I am pretty sure that I could beat him but the biggest problem will be getting him into the ring."

Catley won the title by stopping Germany's Markus Beyer in Frankfurt in May.
