The head of the media company which owns STV and Virgin Radio has resigned. Andrew Flanagan had been chief executive of Scottish Media Group for a decade.
A company statement said the resignation was mutually agreed with the company's board. Donald Emslie has been appointed acting chief executive.
SMG's share price reached its lowest ever level recently at about 75p, a fraction of what the stock was worth a few years ago.
Mr Flanagan had attempted to turn SMG into a multi-media company, buying The Herald newspapers - which were later sold off to Newsquest.
Chris Masters, SMG's chairman, thanked Mr Flanagan "for his role in restructuring the shape of SMG and helping position the group for future growth".
