One of Scotland's best-known artists has received an OBE. Jack Vettriano received his award during a ceremony at Buckingham Palace on Thursday.
The self-taught artist's painting The Singing Butler is the most popular art print in the UK.
Speaking after the ceremony, Mr Vettriano, from Fife, said he still could not take it in.
Born Jack Hoggan in Methil, Fife, in 1951, he started his working life as a mining engineer at the age of 16.
His distinctive paintings are among the most widely sold artworks on prints, postcards and posters in Britain.
Mr Vettriano is thought to earn 250,000 a year in royalties for The Singing Butler alone.
However, the his work has divided critics and does not feature in any of Scotland's national galleries.
He received his OBE for services to the visual arts.
