Provides information, contacts and workshops on matters relating to self harm, in addition promotion of survivor-written literature. Spear provides a postal service to those who self-harm. The aim of this self help group is to encourage individuals to be more positive within, demonstrate and encourage new methods of expressing throughts and feelings. Assist offers national cover and aims to support anyone who has suffered trauma, and who may be suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Open to all. The service provided includes: trauma counselling, cognitive behaviour therapy, assessments as well as a telephone helpline. Support workers will telephone clients to provide regular support. Face to face sessions can be arranged for those living in Rugby. Further information is available on request and is usually dispatched within 3 days. No SAE required.

Objectives of the Trust are to increase awareness of the existence and causes of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and its effects on the sufferers, family and associates.
