 | Just getting into radio after dumping the TV. Really enjoying File on 4. It's a breath of fresh air to have some in-depth coverage of issues usually hidden or unaddressed in the current 'antiseptic' journalistic environment. |
Congratulations on last night's programme concerning the torture of terrorism suspects. The story of that Canadian man is truly shocking and as your journalist said, not wholly verifiable. Together with the British man just released from Cuba (the one arrested in Africa), one just wonders at what is going on. Later on, I listened to Feargal Keane's interview with the FBI "whistleblower" and it allowed for an interesting comparison.
Finn, France Please accept my sincere thanks for all your hard work. The episode broadcast on 8th Feb 2005, was enlightning and scarey. Thank you again for a fine piece of investigative journalism. All the very best to all the team.

I have just finished listening to the File on 4 about the Americans' alleged shipping of suspects to Middle Eastcountries to be tortured. The whole business is horrifying.

As you may well be aware, all captured terrorists are advised to complain of torture - it is in their training manual. Therefore, much scepticism needs to be attached to the statements of all people released from Guantanemo or wherever; and medical proof of injuries obtained to support their claims.
