 | Crossing Continents Thursday, 28 August, 2008 At 1102 BST on BBC Radio 4 | Across Europe Roma children have often been educated in "Special Schools" for children with mental disabilities.Last year, after a 10 year battle, a group of Roma children won their case Czech government at the European Court of Justice. The court ruled that the Roma children had been systematically discriminated against, and ordered that they should be paid compensation. Ray Furlong travels to the Czech Republic to see whether the court ruling has made any difference to the lives of those who championed the case, or to other Roma kids in schools today? After the programme Ray Furlong and Jim Goldston - the lawyer who took the Czech State to court - took part in a live web-chat to discuss the issues raised by the programme.
