The East African nation of Tanzania is a poor nation - for humans. But Tanzania is rich in wildlife. Vast areas of the country are set aside for wildlife conservation, including the famous Serengeti National Park. But poor people and conservation can make bad neighbours. Kerri Miller, of American Public Media, meets a man who has tried to ease the conflict between animals and people, who along the way, becomes a threatened species himself. BBC Radio 4's Crossing Continents will be broadcast on Thursday, 27 December 2007 at 1102 GMT. Reporter: Kerri Miller Producer: Sasha Aslanian
