In the first programme, Jon Leyne investigates how Jordan is coping with the biggest migration of refugees in the Middle East since the creation of the state of Israel in 1948.

Fifty thousand Iraqis have been fleeing their country every month with many knocking on Jordan's door.

Latest UNHCR estimates put the number of Iraqis in Jordan at close to a million - in a country of only five million people.

Crossing Continents investigates these claims and met with everyday Iraqis and Jordanians as well as Prince Hassan of Jordan to ask whether the ongoing influx of Iraqis will become an asset or a destabilising influence on the small Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
