Students at Grove School in Shropshire made their own news web pages as part of the BBC News School Report project. The day starts with a look at the morning papers. Then it's onto the internet where the reporters dig up some more top stories electronically. Not all the stories will make it onto the news web pages. In the morning meeting, decisions are made about what's in and what's out. The news doesn't make itself, so it's back to the computers to write the stories using the three Cs of journalism - being clear, concise and correct. Decisions need to be made about the order the reports will be appear on the website. What's the top story? And who's that asleep on that job? A bit of last-minute tweaking to make sure everything is clear and correct. You don't want to publish the wrong facts. It's not fair and it can also be illegal. Finally it's time to put everyone's hard work up on the school website. The news is live!
