Amy Winehouse won five Grammys in 2008 |
Singer Amy Winehouse and husband Blake Fielder-Civil have been granted a divorce at London's High Court. The singer, 25, and Fielder-Civil, 27 - who were not present - were granted a divorce by Judge Michael Segal in proceedings lasting just a few minutes. The couple, who met in a London bar in 2005, were married in Miami in May 2007 in front of a few friends. Last month, the singer's parents said she was in constant denial over problems with drink and drugs. Father Mitch, who blamed Fielder-Civil for her addiction, said she was taking part in a drug programme but was still drinking. In January, Fielder-Civil's solicitor said he had been "instructed to commence divorce proceedings on the grounds of Amy's adultery". Last July, he was sentenced to 27 months for assaulting a pub landlord in Hoxton, east London, in 2006. Winehouse won five awards at last year's Grammys including song of the year and record of the year, both for her single Rehab, and best pop vocal album for Back To Black.
