Bouncers' behaviour checked
Signs telling revellers how they can complain about the behaviour of bouncers have gone up outside pubs and clubs in Mansfield.

It comes after two doormen were banned from working for five years for their part in an attack on a member of the public.

The notices have gone up outside 30 licensed premises, mainly in Mansfield town centre.

Mansfield is one of only a handful of areas to adopt such a scheme.

Contact number

All its door supervisors already have to be registered with the district council.

The local authority insists most of them provide an excellent service.

A council spokesperson said: "The plaques will be very visible near the doors and will tell people to contact us, as we license the door staff.

"They will have a contact number and we would like to think it will be used for positive comments, as well as complaints."
