Teenagers remanded over stabbing

Two teenagers charged with the murder of 14-year-old Shaquille Smith have been remanded in custody.

Shaquille was stabbed in the stomach in Hackney, east London, on 30 August and died the following day.

Godiowe Dufeal, 19, of Homerton, east London, and an 16-year-old from the Hackney area, who cannot be named, have appeared at Thames Magistrates' Court.

Two youths aged 16 and 17 and two men, aged 18 and 21, were also arrested on Friday in connection with the killing.

All four are currently in custody at an east London police station.

Mr Dufeal and the 16-year-old will appear next at the Old Bailey on 3 October.
