Man accused of transsexual murder
A man has appeared in court charged with murdering a transsexual prostitute more than 10 years ago.

James Hopkins, 41, from Leeds, is accused of killing Robyn Browne in February 1997.

The 23-year-old was found dead at her flat in Marylebone, central London. She had been repeatedly stabbed.

Mr Hopkins appeared at West London Magistrate's Court on Friday. He was remanded in custody to appear at London's Old Bailey in October.

Born James Errol Browne, Robyn Browne was undergoing sex change treatment at the time of her death.
