A �10m fashion museum founded by designer Zandra Rhodes will open in south London this week.
Princess Michael of Kent will officially open the Fashion and Textile Museum in Bermondsey on Thursday.
The museum's first exhibition, which will run until November, is called My Favourite Dress.
It will feature designs from 70 top 20th and 21st century creators including Rhodes, Giorgio Armani, Calvin Klein and Mary Quant who have been asked to donate their favourite creation.
A permanent collection, which will include 3,000 Rhodes designs and work by Givenchy, is also being assembled.
The museum took more than six years to be converted from an old warehouse.
Its first public day is on 12 May and will then be open every day except Monday.
