The air ambulance receives no government funding |
A Kent Air Ambulance aircraft is to take part in a fly-past during an event to raise awareness for the charity. More than 80 people, including MPs and mayors, are expected at the summer garden party at Walmer Castle in Deal.
Guests will be invited to look inside the helicopter and meet the pilot and paramedics who work on board.
The fly-past is due to be carried out by the ambulance trust's G-KAAT MD902 Explorer Helicopter at 1515 BST before it lands in the castle's paddock.
Members of Deal Squadron Air Training Corps marching band will play as the helicopter lands.
Among the guests will be Mayor of Deal, Susan Delling, Lord Mayor and Mayoress of Canterbury Martin and Jennifer Dye, Dover and Deal MP Gwyn Prosser and Canterbury and Whitstable MP Julian Brazier.
The Kent Air Ambulance receives no government funding and is paid for by voluntary donations.
The service aims to transfer patients to hospital within seven minutes.
