Robert Boyer went missing from his home two weeks ago |
Police are preparing to question a man arrested in connection with the killing of a former miner on his doorstep. Detectives said they found Robert Boyer, 42, after locating a hiding place in Nottinghamshire woodland.
Police said Mr Boyer was arrested after surveillance of the site and was being quizzed about Keith Frogson's death.
Officers are still hunting for Terry Rodgers, wanted over the unrelated murder of his daughter, newly-wed Chanel Taylor, 23, in nearby Huthwaite.
Police said "certain items had been seized" after Mr Boyer was arrested by armed police at 0100 BST at the site in Annesley Woods in Nottinghamshire.

The officer leading both investigations, Det Ch Insp Russ Foster, said a doctor had examined Mr Boyer, who survived for up to four weeks on tinned food and bottled water. He said: "It has been confirmed that he is fit and well and was fit enough to be detained.
"After he is given a significant rest period, officers will be looking to conduct a series of interviews with Robert Boyer."
The hideout was "well constructed", with a cover made of branches and leaves, Mr Foster added.
Body found
Mr Frogson was found dead outside his home on 19 July after an evening at his local pub.
About 600 specialist and armed officers, sniffer dogs and helicopters were being used to hunt the two men.

The arrest of Mr Boyer came after a body was discovered in the nearby wooded area of South Normanton, Derbyshire on Saturday. Police said it was not believed to be related to the current investigation. The body was found four miles from the home of Mr Rodgers, wanted over the murder of his daughter, Chanel Taylor.
Hairdresser Chanel Taylor, 23, was found dead at her home in Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire on 30 July.
She was discovered by her new husband, Lee, with fatal gunshot wounds at the home they shared with Mr Rodgers.
At a press conference in Kirkby in Ashfield on Saturday morning, Superintendent Stuart Wright said: "The search for Terry Rodgers will continue. Anyone seeing Terry Rodgers is asked not to approach him but to ring 999 immediately."
