Mothers protest over school 'bullying'
Police eventually talked the protestors down
Four mothers have climbed on to the roof next to a Derbyshire school to protest that their children had been bullied.

The mothers climbed onto the building next to the gates of Horsley Woodhouse Primary School at 0600 BST on Monday.

All four say their children were bullied at the school, until they recently enrolled them at other schools nearby.

The mothers claim the school did nothing.

Investigating officers

Linda Wood, one of the protestors, said: "We have come down here to go up on this roof to let everybody know that as parents we are not going to stand for this any more.

"We are not going to have our children die.

"That is what they are talking about. They are talking about ending their lives, suicide."

Other parents arriving with their children at the school said they knew nothing of any bullying problems.

Derbyshire County Council says it is already aware of the mothers' complaints and is currently investigating them.

Councillor Allan Charles said: "I have to say the actions of these parents may actually hamper the investigation and make it more difficult for our officers to complete (the investigation) satisfactorily."
