Carole Baker: Died while taking shower |
The parents of a woman who died at a psychiatric unit in Cornwall are still waiting to find out what happened. Three deaths between March and June this year at Longreach House at Camborne Redruth Community Hospital are being investigated.
None of the deaths at the 67-bed unit is being treated as suicide.
Managers of the unit, which is run by the Cornwall Partnership Trust (CPT), say they are as baffled about the deaths as the families.
Longreach House opened in August last year at a cost of 6.5m. It was designed to replace three other mental health units in the county.

In March, a patient, manic depression sufferer Carole Baker, 44, died while taking a shower. Henry Gibb, 22, was found dead in his bed by staff in June. A day after Mr Gibb was found dead, a 65-year-old woman collapsed and died in one of the communal areas.
Carole Baker's parents Bill and Margaret are still waiting to hear the results of an internal investigation into her death, which has now been completed by the CPT.
Mrs Baker said: "Nobody will acknowledge that we are entitled to information.
"You just feel so angry because nobody will tell you anything."
Dr Terry McClatchey of the CPT said: "It is very much a mystery to us and one we would like solved.
"But we are very much in the hands of our colleagues from the pathology services and for the coroner to determine the cause of death."
An inquest is due to be held into all three deaths next Easter.
