Kayak man reaches next target
Sean Morley
Sean Morley started his record bid on 3 April
A Cornish policeman trying to circumnavigate the British Isles in a sea kayak has reached Northern Ireland.

After earlier delays, Sean Morley has managed to get himself back on schedule, but bad weather is forecast.

Sergeant Sean Morley reckons it will take him six months to power his kayak around the British Isles, taking in the Isles of Scilly, the Shetlands, and the Channel Islands.

That averages out at 23 miles a day, adding up to 4,200 miles in total.

A short cut from the Isle of Man to the town of Newcastle in Northern Ireland has put him back on track in his efforts to complete the first such solo mission.

Mr Morley started his record bid from the Cornwall Maritime Museum in Falmouth on 3 April.

He is raising money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution crew training programme and the Marine Conservation Society.
