More 'hub clubs' are planned for the city
New multi-million pound sports facilities will officially open at a Bristol school on Friday.

The sports centre at Ashton Park Secondary School will be open to the public from early morning until late at night.

Head teacher Chris Gardner said: "People of all age and ability will be able to participate."

The school also has a new education centre, making it a hub for post-16 education in south west Bristol.

Mr Gardner added: "We provide courses for Bedminster Down, Withywood, Hartcliffe and Portway students, as well as our own".

Similar sports facilities - dubbed 'hub clubs' - will also be set up at the City Academy and Portway Community School.
