Mary-Ann was found dead in Reading's Prospect Park on 7 May

The jurors retraced the final steps of Mary-Ann Leneghan, 16, who was kidnapped, raped and stabbed to death in Reading, Berkshire, in May 2005.

Her body was found in Prospect Park, near her 18-year-old friend who had been shot in the head but survived.

Five defendants deny charges of rape, kidnap and murder but one man has pleaded guilty to kidnapping the pair.

Joshua Morally, 23, of Balham, London, changed his plea shortly before the trial began on Tuesday; he still denies murder, attempted murder, rape and causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent.

The five other defendants are: Adrian Thomas, 20, of Battersea, south London; Llewellyn Adams, 24, of Balham, south London; Indrit Krasniqi, 18, of Chiswick, London; Michael Johnson, 19, of Southfields; and Jamaile Morally, 22, of Balham, south London.

All five men each deny the same nine charges, including one charge of murder, one charge of attempted murder, two counts of kidnap, three counts of rape and two counts of causing GBH with intent.

Jamaile Morally also denies a further charge of raping Mary-Ann.

The jury set off from Reading Crown Court on Wednesday morning to retrace what the Crown says were Mary-Ann's last steps.

They were shown the room in Abbey House Hotel where it is alleged Mary-Ann and her friend were tortured.

After spending around 45 minutes at the hotel, the seven women and five men then moved on to Prospect Park where Mary-Ann's body was found.
