Ms Jones 'has turned her life around' |
Two artists from Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire are to exhibit their work at the world-renowned Tate Modern Gallery in London. Artwork and photography by Carla Cavalierie from Milton Keynes and Kacey Jones from Bedford will be displayed in the Millennium Commission exhibition in December.
The exhibition has been created to celebrate the projects which have been achieved with National Lottery funding.
It is timed to coincide with the run up to the Millennium Commission's 10th anniversary.
Breaking down barriers
Ms Cavalierie used her lottery award to fulfil her dream of painting every day at home while also giving talks to school children and producing a community exhibition.
As a disabled artist she said she wanted to break down the barriers of ignorance relating to disability.
Ms Jones from Bedford used her award to create a photographic exhibition and website promoting drug awareness.
She is a former drug user and is now keen to educate others about ways to combat the problem.
The exhibition at the Tate Modern runs from 1 to 19 December.
