The union has not ruled out strikes |
Midland Mainline has apologised for a day of disruption which saw services cancelled between the East Midlands and London. The company's 198 drivers held a meeting on Sunday to discuss its ongoing pay dispute.
At the meeting, drivers decided to reopen talks with Midland Mainline on Tuesday.
The union is confident it can negotiate a two-year deal, but would not rule out future industrial action.
Throughout Sunday, passengers arriving at Nottingham and Leicester faced a long journey to Grantham or Peterborough if they wanted to get to London.
Those at Derby were forced to travel via Birmingham.
