Public binges
She announced the marriage split in September after he continued going on drinking binges despite being told they could kill him.
At the time, the 31-year-old said in a statement: "I have always supported George and always will, but for the present we will be living separate lives."
Best was arrested in July after drinking in a local pub for several hours.
He was later released without charge.
A Surrey Police spokeswoman said on Friday: "A 57-year-old male from Walton on the Hill was arrested on 26 December at approximately 0200 GMT in Reigate, in relation to an allegation of assault.
"The male was later released without charge at around midday.
"No allegations are now being pursued by any party."
