Roy Hart has reported another pollution incident |
An angler who sued Anglian Water for polluting an Essex river wants to take action against the company again. The water company, one of the largest in the UK, was fined a record 200,000 last year after Roy Hart took out a private prosecution.
At Basildon Crown Court Anglian Water admitted polluting the River Crouch near Mr Hart's home in Battlesbridge in October 2001.
The company estimated that about 200 tons of sewage had seeped out over four hours, leaving the river brown and killing hundreds of fish.
Mr Hart has now reported another pollution incident last week.
Anglian Water said it was investigating the latest incident.
The company believes pollution may have been caused by someone illegally discharging into the sewage system.
